Re: AH-1G Cobra
Hello Ian,
looks very good, your flying snake! I like the colorful markings. Did you do some changes to the kit?
greetings

Re: AH-1G Cobra
Hi Ralf
Thanks - the only major change i made to the kit was to add the rocket pods made out of styrene tubing and filler as one of the original model parts was missing. If somene else has the idea to make the kit I would recommend filling in the air vents near the rotor from the inside rather than the outside like I did as it would be much easier to do and to add some weight to the nose to keep the helicopter sitting properly on the ground, again before joining the 2 fuselage halves together. I then looked for some suitable photographs for Vietnam Cobras which I found at http://www.vhpamuseum.org and that is that. It is a basic kit but until someone makes an updated version I think it will be the only way to model one in 1/87 for foreseeable future.
